No shocking result in a game when second ranked Nuggets (8-3) beat one of their biggest challengers Nets (4-7) in Brooklyn 101-93 on Thursday. They outrebounded Nets 62-51 including 48 on the defensive glass. Nuggets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Paul Millsap (203-85, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Australian-American guard Kyrie Irving (190-92, college: Duke) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Jarrett Allen (211-98, college: Texas) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Nets. Five Nuggets and four Nets players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nuggets keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Nets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with seven games lost.
