Regular Season Round 26: Atlanta H. - LA Clippers 101-150

An interesting game for Clippers (8-5) which played road game in Atlanta against 4th ranked Hawks (4-8). Third ranked Clippers had an easy win 150-101. They made 33-of-35 charity shots (94.3 percent) during the game. Clippers forced 19 Hawks turnovers and outrebounded them 53-38 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. Clippers players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. Hawks were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) scored 37 points (!!!) (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Louis Williams (185-86) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Jabari Parker (203-95, college: Duke) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Clippers moved-up to second place. Hawks at the other side keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Clippers will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hawks will play at home against the league's leader Lakers (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
