An interesting game for Mavericks (7-5) which played road game in Toronto against their close opponent Raptors (8-4). Second ranked Mavericks managed to get a 8-point victory 110-102. Mavericks made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while Raptors only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Raptors 55-42 including 43 on the defensive glass. Mavericks looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) supported him with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Mavericks' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Fred VanVleet (183-94, college: Wichita St.) did not help to save the game for Raptors. Guard Norman Powell (193-93, college: UCLA) added 26 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Five Mavericks and four Raptors players scored in double figures. Mavericks maintains second position with 7-5 record having just two points less than leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Philadelphia 76. Defending champion Raptors keep the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Utah Jazz.
