Regular Season Round 15: Yokohama BC - Kawasaki BT 63-75

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Yokohama. First ranked Toshiba Thunders faced second-best Yokohama BC. Guests from Kanagawa (12-3) defeated host Yokohama BC (5-9) 75-63. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard Aki Chambers (190-90, college: UC Merced) with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Ryo Tawatari (180-93, college: Dominican, CA) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. They maintain first place with 12-3 record. Yokohama BC lost their third game in a row. They keep the second position with nine games lost. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yokohama BC will play again against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
