No shocking result in a game in Hyogo where second ranked Nishinomiya S. (14-4) defeated 6th ranked Fukuoka R. (4-14) 77-64 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Center Jin Liu (202-90) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada, agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll., agency: Inception Sports) added 27 points and 4 steals respectively. Fukuoka R.'s coach Iurgi Caminos tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nishinomiya S. maintains second position with 14-4 record behind leader Gunma. Fukuoka R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face again Fukuoka R. (#6) at home in the next round.
