There was an upset when 3rd placed PBB (5-2) lost to tenth ranked Univ.Valladolid (3-4) in Porrino 78-83 on Saturday. It was a good game for Javier Martinez (187-97) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Ignacio Sierra (196-97) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Andres Cardito (176-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 assists and 4 steals and point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) added 21 points in the effort for PBB. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Univ.Valladolid moved-up to seventh place in Group A-B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser PBB keeps the third position with two games lost. Univ.Valladolid will face league's second-placed Obradoiro S. in Santiago de Comp in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PBB will play on the road against Xiria in Carballo and hope to win that game.
