Regular Season Round 11: Challans - Vitre 65-61
Date: November 16, 2019
There was no surprise when 8th ranked Vitre (5-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Vendee Challans (7-4) 65-61 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) helped adding 7 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Robert Turner (188-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Louis Prolhac (175-91) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Vendee Challans. They maintain fourth place in Group A with 7-4 record. Loser Vitre keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Vendee Challans will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#3) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vitre will play at home against Dax-Gamarde (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
