No shocking result in a game in Pireus where fourth ranked Olympiacos B (5-1) defeated 9th ranked Eleftheroupoli (2-4) 89-85 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Eleftheroupoli was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Petros Melissaratos (205-93) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Vaggelis Tzolos (192-91) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Forward Theodoros Stampoulis (202-91) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Manojlovic (197-93, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Olympiacos B. They moved-up to third place. Eleftheroupoli at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with four games lost. Olympiacos B will face Koroivos (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Eleftheroupoli will play against Amyntas D. in Athens and hope to win that game.
