BSL top team - Anadolu Efes (7-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Turk Telekom (3-5) in Istanbul 81-71. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 42-30 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American James Anderson (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who scored that evening 13 points and 8 rebounds and German center Tibor Pleiss (217-89) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Even 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard RJ Hunter (198-93, college: Georgia St.) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka and Fenerbahce. Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Acibadem.
