Regular Season Round 20: Ibaraki R. - Nishinomiya S. 84-93

Rather predictable result in Tsukuba where first ranked Nishinomiya S. (15-6) defeated 5th ranked Ibaraki R. (8-13) 93-84 on Friday. Nishinomiya S. shot 62.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. Nishinomiya S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 assists and American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) scored 27 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!). Nishinomiya S. maintains first position with 15-6 record. Loser Ibaraki R. dropped to the third place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
