Regular Season Round 17: Okayama - Saitama B. 82-85

The most exciting game of round 17 in the B3 League took place in Okayama. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Okayama (9-7) to seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (9-7) 85-82 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Okayama. The best player for the winners was Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Jo Yoshikawa (178-95) chipped in 24 points and 5 steals. American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall, agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Okayama's coach Yoichi Motoyasu tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Saitama Broncos have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Okayama. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Okayama will play again at home against Saitama Broncos (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
