There was an upset when higher ranked Rimini (5-5) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Faenza (4-6) 78-66 on Sunday. Faenza outrebounded Rimini 44-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Simon Anumba (191-96) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: Interperformances) responded with 23 points and the former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (204-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Faenza moved-up to tenth place in B, which they share with Juvi Cremona and Olginate. Newly promoted Rimini dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Faenza will face league's second-placed Fabriano at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
