There was no surprise in Weissenfels where 17th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (1-8) was defeated by leader Bayern Muenchen (8-0) 96-86 on Sunday. Bayern Muenchen shot 63.0 percent from the field. The former international point guard Maodo Lo (191-92, college: Columbia) stepped up and scored 13 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international Paul Zipser (203-94, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points. The best for the losing side was naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: WKU) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Strahinja Micovic (205-92, agency: BeoBasket) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Bayern Muenchen. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Mitteldeutscher BC lost their eighth game in a row.
