Regular Season Round 21: Koshigaya A. - Fukuoka R. 94-97

A very interesting game took place in Tokyo. It ended with only three-point home defeat of their close opponent Koshigaya A. (4-17) to sixth ranked Fukuoka R. (7-14) 97-94 in the game for the fifth place. It was a great shooting night for Fukuoka R. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll., agency: Inception Sports) nailed 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada, agency: SDJ Sports) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 31 points and 5 assists respectively for Koshigaya A. in the defeat. Five Fukuoka R. and four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Fukuoka R. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tokyo Z. Koshigaya A. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
