Eighth-ranked Ostrow Mazow. (5-9) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Zubry (10-3) in Bialystok on Wednesday. Zubry managed to secure only three-point victory 97-94. However their fans expected easier game. Zubry made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Ostrow Mazow. turnovers. Strangely Ostrow Mazow. outrebounded Zubry 38-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Ostrow Mazow. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Patryk Wydra (182-97) helped adding 19 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Pawel Lapinski (192-96) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Maciej Cukierda (195-91) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Zubry and four Ostrow Mazow. players scored in double figures. Ostrow Mazow.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Zubry moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. Ostrow Mazow. at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Zubry is looking forward to face Pabianice (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ostrow Mazow. will play against AZS UW (#9) in Warszawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
