Regular Season Round 13: Zilina - Levice 75-88

The most interesting game of round 13 in the SBL was a home defeat of 4th placed Zilina (6-5) to third ranked Levice (7-4) 88-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Levice looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Montenegrin guard Amin Hot (192-92) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Montenegrin center Marko Perovic (204-92, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 24 points. At the losing side American-Jamaican guard TJ Sapp (190-92, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Jakub Meress (200-96) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Zilina lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Levice are looking forward to face Nova Ves (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zilina will play against Lucenec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
