Bottom-ranked Jonava managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Thursday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Taurages 84-76. American forward Kahlil Thomas (203-94, college: Rider) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Redas Jakubauskas (193-99) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Jonava's coach Nerijus Zabarauskas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Rytis Biliartas (201-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and center Deividas Keburys (201-90) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Jonava (4-12) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Silales Lusis. Taurages lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ereliai Mazeikiai and Palanga. Jonava is looking forward to face higher ranked Palanga (#13) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taurages will play against the league's second-placed Silute and will have a slim chance for a victory.
