Regular Season Round 13: Challans - Le Havre 69-62

An interesting game for Vendee Challans (9-4) which hosted in Challans their biggest opponent STB Le Havre (10-3). Third ranked Vendee Challans managed to get a 7-point victory 69-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of STB Le Havre. Strangely STB Le Havre outrebounded Vendee Challans 48-30 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. At the losing side Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) responded with 18 points and 6 assists and American forward Jerrell Wright (204-91, college: La Salle) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. STB Le Havre's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vendee Challans have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place in Group A with 9-4 record having just one point less than leader Angers. STB Le Havre at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Vendee Challans will play against JSA Bordeaux (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. STB Le Havre will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#4) in Boulogne-sur-Mer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
