Regular Season Round 10: Besiktas - ITU BB 83-80

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Besiktas (4-6) edged bottom-ranked ITU BB (1-9) in Istanbul 83-80 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for American Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: ASU) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 assists. American-North Macedonian point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. American guard Matt Mobley (190-94, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 22 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for ITU BB. Five Besiktas and four ITU BB players scored in double figures. ITU BB's coach Andac Yapicier rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Besiktas moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Gaziantep and OGM Orman. ITU BB lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
