There was a minor upset when 4th placed HAKRO Merlins II (6-5) lost on the road to sixth ranked Fellbach (6-5) 72-58 on Saturday. James Arbinger (191-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. American center Scooter Gillette (206-90, college: Fair Dickinson) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Fellbach players scored in double figures. Jannis Hahn (190-1) answered with 16 points and Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (190-2) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for HAKRO Merlins II. HAKRO Merlins II's coach Marko Stankovic rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fellbach moved-up to fourth place in South-West, which they share with HAKRO Merlins II and Kaiserslautern. Fellbach will face Kaiserslautern (#6) at home in the next round. HAKRO Merlins II will play against Giessen Pointers and hope to win that game.
