Important game to mention about took place in Agrinio. Sixth ranked Agriniou (5-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 12th ranked Eleftheroupoli (3-6) 74-72 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Eleftheroupoli was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. French guard Kevin Franceschi (191-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and guard Nikolaos Kamaras (200-97) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Stamatis Benas (206-85) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Manojlovic (197-93, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Agriniou moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Psychiko and Karditsas. Eleftheroupoli at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Agriniou will face league's second-placed Olympiacos B in Pireus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eleftheroupoli will play at home against Karditsas (#6) and hope to win that game.
