Regular Season Round 11: Muenchen OSB - TSV Troester 70-87

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked TSV Troester (7-4) defeated on the road 14th ranked Muenchen OSB (2-9) 87-70 on Saturday. TSV Troester dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Muenchen OSB's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Erik Land (205-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Joerg Dippold (195-92) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Greek guard Apostolos Diamantis (180-90) answered with 13 points and 8 assists and Slovenian guard Alek Pikl (190-96) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Muenchen OSB. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TSV Troester have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in South-East. Muenchen OSB lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with nine games lost. TSV Troester will face Rosenheim (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen OSB will play against the league's leader Ansbach (#1) and hope to win that game.
