Regular Season Round 8: TSU - Rustavi 79-64

Date: November 30, 2019
Superleague top team - TSU (6-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Rustavi (3-4) in Tbilisi 79-64. The game was mostly controlled by TSU. Rustavi managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Christopher Anderson (172-92, college: San Diego) who scored that evening 12 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and international power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-98) supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four TSU players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Denzel Livingston (193-93, college: UIW) did not help to save the game for Rustavi. Serbian power forward Nikola Tadic (206-88) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-2 record. Loser Rustavi dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. TSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Tskhum-Abkhazeti.
