We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Arenys (4-6) won against on the road bottom-ranked Esparreguera (4-7) 66-62 on Saturday. Strangely Esparreguera outrebounded Arenys 33-17 including 21 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Oscar Heras (181-99) who scored 19 points. Forward Adria Estany (191-96) chipped in 15 points. Forward Ruben Morales (193-85) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Dani Fontanals (197-93) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Esparreguera's coach Oscar Navarro tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Arenys moved-up to eighth place in Group C-A. Loser Esparreguera dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Arenys will face Boet (#11) in Mataro in the next round.
