Very significant was Raptors' (#1, 15-4) victory against their biggest opponent Jazz (12-8) 130-110. Raptors made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. Raptors looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Jazz's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Raptors made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam (206-94, college: N.Mexico St.) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Fred VanVleet (183-94, college: Wichita St.) who added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Mike Conley (185-87, college: Ohio St.) responded with 20 points and French center Rudy Gobert (216-92) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Raptors (15-4) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Loser Jazz keeps the second place with eight games lost. Raptors will have a break next day. Jazz will play on the road against 76ers in Philadelphia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
