Regular Season Round 10: EWE Baskets - Brose Bask. 71-68

The most exciting game of round 10 in the BBL took place in Oldenburg. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Brose Baskets (7-4) to seventh ranked EWE Baskets (6-4) 71-68 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Belgian-Nigerian guard Retin Obasohan (191-93, college: Alabama) added 8 points in the effort for Brose Baskets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. EWE Baskets moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Brose Baskets at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. EWE Baskets is looking forward to face ratiopharm Ulm (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Brose Baskets will have a break next round.
