Important game to mention about took place in Zizur Mayor. Sixth ranked Ardoi (6-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-ranked Pas Pielagos (7-2) 71-69 on Sunday evening. Center Andres Zabaleta (200-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Pope Urtasun (187-80) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Senegalese power forward Pape Seck (207-92, college: Simon Fraser) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Pas Pielagos. Pas Pielagos' coach Jose Ignacio Alvaro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ardoi moved-up to fifth place in Group A-A, which they share with Nissan Burgos. Pas Pielagos at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Mondragon. Ardoi will play against Arha Hoteles (#11) in Santander in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pas Pielagos will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mondragon (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
