Regular Season Round 11: Vysocina - Novy Jicin 83-63

Rather predictable result in Jihlava where fifth ranked Vysocina (6-5) smashed 9th ranked Novy Jicin (3-8) 83-63 on Sunday. Vysocina forced 22 Novy Jicin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Novy Jicin's players. Novy Jicin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Martin Novak (199-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Miroslav Krajcigr (178-94) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Four Vysocina players scored in double figures. Forward Stepan Svoboda (197-0) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Jan Leczo (198-96) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vysocina maintains fifth place in East with 6-5 record. Loser Novy Jicin keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Vysocina will face league's second-placed Olomouc Bbal on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Novy Jicin will play against Pardubice (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
