There was no surprise when 4th ranked Rostock S.J. (3-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked ALBA Berlin (6-0) 96-84 on Sunday. ALBA Berlin forced 21 Rostock S.J. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was center Marc Tilly (209-3) who scored 20 points. Point guard Till Hornscheidt (184-1) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. ALBA Berlin's coach Vladimir Bogojevic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Nicolas Buchholz (200-1) who recorded 36 points (!!!) and Serbian Filip Skobalj (202-2) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. ALBA Berlin have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in A North with 6-0 record. Loser Rostock S.J. keeps the fourth place with two games lost. ALBA Berlin will face Piraten (#3) in Hamburg in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rostock S.J. will play on the road against the league's second-placed TSV Bayer 04 in Leverkusen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
