Regular Season Round 42: San Antonio S. - Houston R. 135-133

Important game to mention about took place in San Antonio. Third ranked Spurs (8-14) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-best Rockets (13-7) 135-133 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rockets. Spurs dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 54. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Rockets' players. Spurs brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Rockets were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman Lonnie Walker-IV (196-98, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 28 points for the winners. James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) replied with 50 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 24 for 24 at the free throw line !!!) and Swiss power forward Clint Capela (208-94) added 22 points and 21 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) in the effort for Rockets. Four Spurs and five Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Spurs maintains third position with 8-14 record having four points less than leader Toronto R., which they share with Charlotte H. Rockets at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Indiana P..
