There was a minor upset when higher ranked Ironi Ashkelon (3-3) lost at home to tenth ranked Netanya (3-3) 90-84 on Tuesday. It was a good game for American forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import forward Cameron Naylor (201-94, college: Texas St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Netanya players scored in double figures. Netanya's coach Ruven Najberger allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Armenian forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Ashkelon. Netanya moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Ironi Ashkelon. Ironi Ashkelon lost third consecutive game. Netanya will face higher ranked Afula (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ironi Ashkelon will play against Ironi Kiryat Ata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
