Regular Season Round 44: N.Orleans P. - Phoenix Suns 132-139

An interesting game for Suns (10-10) which played road game in New Orleans against one of their biggest challengers Pelicans (6-15). Third ranked Suns managed to get a 7-point victory 139-132. Suns made 25-of-27 free shots (92.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Pelicans turnovers and outrebounded them 51-40 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The winners were led by Devin Booker (198-96, college: Kentucky) who scored that evening 44 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) and Spanish guard Ricky Rubio (193-90) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 20 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists by guard Lonzo Ball (198-97, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Pelicans. Point guard Jrue Holiday (193-90, college: UCLA) added 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns maintains third position with 10-10 record having five points less than leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Minnesota T. Pelicans lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Memphis G..
