Regular Season Round 9: Rouen - Nantes 83-78

We should mention about the upset which took place in Rouen, where 4th placed Nantes (6-4) lost to twelfth ranked SPO Rouen (5-4) in a road game 78-83 on Friday. Nantes was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Armenian-American guard Andre Spight (191-95, college: N.Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (202-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and Tunisian Mourad El-Mabrouk (194-86) added 23 points respectively. SPO Rouen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Nantes dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. SPO Rouen will face Aix-Maurienne (#13) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
