Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Caen (9-5) beat at home 12th ranked La Rochelle (4-10) 90-72 on Friday. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to La Rochelle's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by La Rochelle's players. Soriah Bangura (196-93) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward William Pfister (203-95, college: FAU) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Caen players scored in double figures. Caen's coach Fabrice Courcier used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Senegalese forward Antoine Mendy (198-83) responded with 26 points and Pierre Cellerier (191-97) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Caen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Challans. Loser La Rochelle keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost.
