Regular Season Round 12: Pogon RS - Rybnik 93-83

Not a big story in a game in Ruda Slaska where 11th ranked Rybnik (2-9) was defeated by seventh ranked Pogon RS (6-5) 93-83 on Saturday. Pogon RS forced 19 Rybnik turnovers. Rybnik was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Mateusz Pawlik (180-92) who added 25 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Andrzej Mazur (203-98) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rybnik's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pogon RS moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Jaworzno and AZS PCz. Rybnik lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Pogon RS will face Jaroslaw (#9) on the road in the next round. Rybnik will play against the league's leader Wisla Krakow and hope to win that game.
