Regular Season Round 11: Telekom Bsk - MBC 103-85

There was a minor upset in Bonn where 15th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (2-9) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Telekom Baskets (2-7) 103-85 on Saturday. Telekom Baskets forced 20 Mitteldeutscher BC turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Telekom Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Mitteldeutscher BC was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Branden Frazier (190-92, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 assists. Forward Martin Breunig (203-92, college: Montana) helped adding 15 points. Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-94, college: Carleton, agency: Interperformances) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Telekom Baskets and five Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Telekom Baskets moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Mitteldeutscher BC dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Telekom Baskets will face BG Goettingen (#15) on the road in the next round. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against ratiopharm Ulm and hope to win that game.
