Regular Season Round 12: Usti n/Labem - Brno 88-79

Bottom-ranked Brno (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-79 loss to seventh ranked Usti n/Labem (7-5) in Usti nad Labem. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Ladislav Pecka (197-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American forward Spencer Svejcar (193-94, college: Alaska-Anch.) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Five Usti n/Labem players scored in double figures. American guard Davell Roby (193-96, college: St.Louis) replied with 19 points and guard Radek Farsky (193-99) added 19 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Brno. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Usti n/Labem moved-up to fifth place, which they share with BK Olomoucko. Brno at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Usti n/Labem will play against BK Olomoucko (#6) in Prostejov in the next round. Brno will play at home against USK Praha (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
