Regular Season Round 10: Raholan Pyrkiva - Huima 90-63

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tampere. Second ranked Raholan Pyrkiva faced one of their biggest challengers Huima. Host Raholan Pyrkiva (8-2) smashed guests from Aanekoski (7-3) 90-63. The game was mostly controlled by Raholan Pyrkiva. Huima was better in fourth quarter 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Raholan Pyrkiva players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Antti Ahonen (195-1) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bulgarian guard Angel Mavrodiev (183-91) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Raholan Pyrkiva players scored in double figures. American power forward Trenton Clayton (206-96, college: Pittsburg St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tiitus Kuukkanen (193-0) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Huima. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Raholan Pyrkiva maintains second position in Division with 8-2 record behind leader Tapiolan Honka. Huima at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Raholan Pyrkiva will play against Westside ET (#10) in Espoo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Huima will play at home against the league's leader Tapiolan Honka (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
