There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (4-11) beat at home higher ranked Vendee Challans (9-6) 79-67 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was forward Dylan Affo-Mama (196-99) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Alexandre Aygalenq (187-97) chipped in 22 points. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) who recorded 12 points and 7 assists and swingman Kevin Bichard (196-86) added 12 points respectively. Lourdes-Tarbes maintains thirteenth place in Group A with 4-11 record. Loser Vendee Challans keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Lourdes-Tarbes will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#4) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vendee Challans will play at home against La Rochelle and hope to win that game.
