Leader Etoile Angers delivered the twelfth victory on Tuesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Caen (9-6) 78-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Caen. They outrebounded Caen 41-25 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Stephan Gauthier (192-95) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Maurice Acker (173-87, college: Marquette) with 24 points and 7 assists and forward William Pfister (203-95, college: FAU) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Etoile Angers maintains first place in Group A with 12-2 record. Loser Caen dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Challans. Etoile Angers will meet Lorient (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caen will play against JSA Bordeaux (#9) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
