Regular Season Round 24: Fukuoka R. - Hiroshima D. 77-104

Very expected game when 6th ranked Fukuoka R. (7-17) was rolled over at home by first ranked Dragonflies (20-4) 104-77 on Wednesday. Dragonflies shot 60.6 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Fukuoka R. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Fukuoka R.'s players. The best player for the winners was American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Spanish center David Doblas (209-81) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Masashi Joho (183-82) added 21 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragonflies maintains first position with 20-4 record. Fukuoka R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Dragonflies will face league's leader Gunma on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukuoka R. will play against the league's leader Shinshu BW (#1) in Nagano and hope to win that game.
