Regular Season Round 21: Suduva-Mantinga - Perlas 108-99

No shocking result in a game in Marijampole where third ranked Suduva-Mantinga (16-3) defeated 6th ranked Perlas (9-10) 108-99. Suduva-Mantinga forced 22 Perlas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Perlas' players. 24 personal fouls committed by Perlas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) nailed 33 points (!!!) (perfect from the field making all thirteen shots !!!) for the winning side and point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Povilas Sakinis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Einaras Tubutis (205-98) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Azuolas Tubelis (205-2) added 29 points and 5 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) respectively for Perlas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Suduva-Mantinga. They moved-up to second place. Perlas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Suduva-Mantinga's next round opponent will be Palanga (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Perlas will play against Vytis (#12) and hope to win that game.
