Bottom-ranked Taurages managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Silales Lusis 81-71. Strangely Silales Lusis outrebounded Taurages 44-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Silales Lusis was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Agency) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Deividas Keburys (201-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Taurages players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Eimantas Zilius (200-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Modestas Jurkaitis (187-95) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Taurages (6-15) moved-up to thirteenth place. Newly promoted Silales Lusis dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. They share it with Jonava. Taurages will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Silales Lusis will play at home against Perlas (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
