Regular Season Round 13: Valls Nutrion - Mataro Feimat 67-57

There was an upset when 4th placed Mataro Feimat (8-4) lost on the road to ninth ranked Valls Nutrion (7-5) 67-57 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Valls Nutrion made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for forward Victor Vinos (193-97) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. Sergi Domenech contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Valls Nutrion players scored in double figures. Dominican power forward Jose Cabrera (206-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized GMBn forward Omar Toure (199-94) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Mataro Feimat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valls Nutrion moved-up to sixth place in Group C-B, which they share with Salou and Badalones. Loser Mataro Feimat dropped to the second position with four games lost. Valls Nutrion will face Roser (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mataro Feimat will play against Olivar (#11) and hope to win that game.
