Regular Season Round 10: TSU - Dinamo Tbilisi 87-71

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: TSU (#1) and Dinamo Tbilisi (#2). TSU (8-2) smashed visiting Dinamo Tbilisi (5-4) by 16 points 87-71. The game without a history. TSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dinamo Tbilisi's 24. They outrebounded Dinamo Tbilisi 42-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard David McFarland (193-96, college: SIUE) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. International power forward Giorgi Turdziladze (210-97) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four TSU players scored in double figures. American guard Tyler Williams (196-96, college: San Diego) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Maizer Revazashvili (208-96) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Dinamo Tbilisi. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Muhammed Muya Tachi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. TSU have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Batumi and Vera. TSU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
