Very significant was Pistons' (#3, 11-15) victory against second-ranked Rockets (17-9) 115-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rockets. Pistons made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists. Guard Luke Kennard (196-96, college: Duke) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Pistons' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) answered with 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Swiss power forward Clint Capela (208-94) added 12 points and 19 rebounds in the effort for Rockets. Five Pistons and four Rockets players scored in double figures. Pistons maintains third place with 11-15 record having five points less than leader Philadelphia 76. Rockets at the other side keep the second position with nine games lost.
