Regular Season Round 25: Koshigaya A. - Nishinomiya S. 77-76

Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Sixth ranked Koshigaya A. (6-19) saved a 1-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Nishinomiya S. (16-9) 77-76 on Saturday evening. American forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: UNC) stepped up and scored 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) chipped in 19 points. At the losing side American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) scored 19 points. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. maintains sixth place with 6-19 record. Nishinomiya S. lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with nine games lost. They share it with Gunma. Koshigaya A. will again play against league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round.
