Regular Season Round 21: Yokohama BC - Alvark T. 69-82

There was a small surprise when second ranked Toyota Alvark (16-5) defeated on the road their close opponent Yokohama BC (7-13) 82-69 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian Milan Macvan (206-89) stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) with 26 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Thomas Wisman tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Toyota Alvark have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Tochigi B. which they share with defeated Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 13 games lost. Toyota Alvark will face Shimane Magic (#6) on the road in the next round. Yokohama BC will play against Chiba J. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
