No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Salou (7-5) beat at home 10th ranked Palma II (3-9) 90-83 on Sunday. Salou made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Palma II turnovers. Quite impressive performance for center Xavier Costa (204-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Sisco Moreno (-98) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Salou's coach Jesus Muniz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Uruguayan-Italian forward Matias Guerra (201-92) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Sergi Huguet (-2) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Palma II. Five Salou and four Palma II players scored in double figures. Salou maintains sixth place in Group C-B with 7-5 record, which they share with Valls Nutrion and Badalones. Palma II lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Salou will face league's second-placed Mollet on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Palma II will play against Sant Adria (#4) and hope to win that game.
