Regular Season Round 21: Osaka E. - Chiba J. 105-106

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Osaka E. (13-7) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Chiba J. (13-8) 106-105. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in 20 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Chiba J. maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Osaka E. at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with Ryukyu GK. Chiba J. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Yokohama BC at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Osaka E. will play against Hitachi Sunrockers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
